When writing a research paper, you will be expected to use materials written by experts on that topic. You must also cite your sources, i.e., give these authors credit when you use their materials. The works cited page comes at the end of your paper, and is usually arranged by the author’s last name, in a single alphabetical list. Check the MLA Handbook 8th edition for rules and examples, as this is the primary source of information.
